Hermès Carré H

Press Release

Hermès Carré H

The Carré H watch – designed by Marc Berthier in 2010 and presented this year in a new version – now appears paired with a leather strap featuring brightly oloured burnishing.

The Carré H “architect’s watch” displays a sporty touch with a new black or natural Barenia calf strap with perforation reflecting the circular geometry of the display. The bright yellow or red burnishing matches the seconds sand sweeping around a black or anthracite grey guilloché and finely grained dial.

Crafted in the workshops of La Montre Hermès in Brügg, the perforated and colourfully burnished leather accentuates the aesthetic codes of the Carré H: modernity with its polished and beadblasted steel square case with rounded angles; and immediate legibility, with its pure dial bearing luminescent hands and numerals topped by a cylindrical crystal. This daring yet understated new version of the Carré H watch adds a new chapter to the story of an encounter between the French designer & architect and the leather & saddlemaking expertise cultivated by Hermès.
